Students in the Digital Media Arts Pathway use advanced software, state of the art cameras and computer equipment in a professional studio to explore digital design, multimedia production and live broadcasting. 

This program covers camera operation, video editing, audio production, video animation, visual effects and the fundamentals of effective storytelling. 

Students in the advanced class also produce the Trailivision weekly Broadcast and they have the opportunity to earn college credit.

The Digital Media Arts Pathway:

DMA Pathway Level 1 for Sophomores 

This class covers basic video production techniques: computer graphics, camera operation, editing, and storytelling. This class serves as the introductory course to the Digital Media Arts Pathway.

DMA Pathway Level 2 for Juniors

This class covers the practical application of film production and broadcasting with an emphasis on workflow, editing techniques, visual effects and advanced camera tools. Students learn about teamwork, leadership and career opportunities for creative multimedia work. 

Broadcast Journalism

DMA Pathway Level 3 for Seniors

The DMA capstone class covering advanced graphics and visual effects, the digital design process, sound design, advanced editing, animation and live video broadcast production as well as producing the Trailivision weekly broadcast.

VAPA Elective class for Freshmen 

This class serves as an introduction to design and graphic production software. This class focuses on the practical application of Computer Graphics and design in the real world. Student learn about the principles of design, the creative process, and how to create logos for brands, develop products, design packaging, work with layout, and create advertisement campaigns. Students also learn how to create and operate their own freelance graphic design business
